Museum Curator’s Home Exhibits Her Love Of History & Eclectic Objects

Alexandra has a thing for objects. It’s not surprising, really, considering she is s a costume and textiles curator at the Royal Ontario Museum and an art history professor. Although she doesn’t treat her house like a museum, the Toronto home that she shares with sons Wyndham and Hugo (and dog Edie) is full of beautiful objects worthy of admiration. Cheeky salt and pepper shakers, woven African cloths and a ceramic potato are just a few of the eclectic artifacts you’ll find on display in Alexandra’s home. (You’ll also find her sons’ original artwork.) And the best part? A museum’s “please do not touch” policy does not apply in this welcoming space. Wander through Alexandra’s modern, inviting home in the latest issue of Covet Garden.
