Guests at Alison and John’s elegant wedding were greeted by the scent of roses when they first entered the Belo Mansion (in Dallas, Texas). Take one look at the couple’s staggering flower arrangements, and it will come as no surprise that the reception hall was filled with fragrance: towering bunches of pink and white blossoms (roses, peonies and hydrangeas to name a few) topped the tables, in addition to smaller groupings of flowers in glittering mercury glass vessels. As stunning as the flowers were, the duo’s sophisticated wedding cake — a four-tier confection decorated with intricate icing details and fresh white roses — definitely gave the centerpieces a run for their money! Photographer Anna Smith was on-site to capture every exquisite element of this classy celebration, including the groom’s final surprise for his bride: an old-fashioned horse and carriage to whisk them away into the night.
