Claire and Ryan made the most of the season when planning their winter wedding in Omaha, Nebraska, as Rebecca Ellison Photography‘s images show.

The magnificent St. John’s Church at Creighton University was still decorated for Christmas with big red poinsettias, and the seasonal theme was carried into the reception centerpieces with their evergreen branches and glass balls. Claire’s unique “bouquet” itself resembled a bejeweled ornament: it was made of brooches given to her by friends and family, arranged by her mother. “It is a beautiful keepsake from our special day,” she says.

The wedding party was stylish in black and white, including coats and scarves for the outdoor photos. Ryan wore an all-black suit and black shirt with a white vest and bow tie. Claire was hiding a pop of color under her white gown, though: bright something-blue shoes!

Although the wedding was quite formal, there was no shortage of fun, including a photo session in the bridal suite featuring the bride and groom jumping on the bed, and at the reception, a choreographed dance by Claire and her father to “Footloose” and “Single Ladies.”
