Your wedding will likely be one of the happiest days of your life (so far!), but it can be an emotional one, too, if you’ve lost a loved one and their absence is felt during your celebration.

Recent bride Andrea Middleton knows this pain all too well. Having lost her father to pancreatic cancer, Andrea knew she wouldn’t be able to do the traditional father-daughter dance at her wedding.

But her father wasn’t the only special man in her life. Andrea’s thoughtful brother Nick arranged a surprise for his sister at her wedding reception. When it came time for the father-daughter dance, he serenaded guests with a performance of Butterfly Kisses, as Andrea’s grandfather, other brother and father-in-law took turns dancing with her.
