How’s this for an excellent start to your week: A new official photo of the royal family!

The photo features William, Kate, baby George and their cocker spaniel, Lupo, looking happy and at ease in an open window of their apartment in Kensington Palace. As the Daily Mail points out, the royal couple is “letting the public gaze in” with this relaxed, informal shot taken at their home.

While Kate looks radiant (as always) and William looks like a proud papa, the ridiculously cute 8-month-old George (wearing a knit “George” sweater”) steals the spotlight.

The pic was snapped by James Bell, the same photographer that captured Prince George’s baptism in October. We can’t wait to see more photos of Will and Kate during their upcoming tour of Australia. Stay tuned!
