Susanna & Dan: Home is Where the Heart Is
When Susanna and Dan met through mutual friends while Susanna was attending college, they discovered they had grown up in the same town: Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. They were married in the church that Susanna had attended growing up and where Dan’s father was baptized.
The reception was held in the sprawling backyard of Susanna’s childhood home, where a row of beautiful peony bushes that blooms every year inspired both the color scheme and the timing of the wedding. Family and friends helped to make the many delightful DIY details, such as the colorful bunting around the reception tent, the display of snapshots, the watercolor-painted stationery, and the little red heart-shaped pins.
After a casual meal featuring pulled pork, mac ‘n cheese, and a wedding cake baked by the bride’s best friend, guests enjoyed some line dancing to a live folk band complete with dance caller.
