Hudson’s Bay Says Yes To Kleinfeld Bridal
Canadian brides are in for a lace-and-organza treat this spring when Kleinfeld Bridal opens its doors within Hudson’s Bay’s flagship store in Toronto.
We got a sneak peek at the space that will be revitalized into a fabulous 20,000 square foot Kleinfeld boutique, complete with 16 fitting rooms, a “twirling area” where brides try on gowns and 800 dresses from Canadian and international designers.
The Kleinfeld salon, which opens in May 2014, will offer gowns from a variety of designers at a broad range of price points. Along with some of the brands that appear in the Kleinfeld boutique in New York City, the salon at Hudson’s Bay will offer exclusive collections from beloved Canadian designers, including Greta Constantine, Rivini and David Dixon.
At a reception after a “hard hat” tour of the renovation space, models toured a reception room in some of the bridal gowns that will be available at Kleinfeld, including a striking red wedding dress from Christopher Paunil Designs that reflects Kleinfeld’s focus on multicultural couples.
(How stunning are those flower arrangements by Toronto florist Jackie O??)
Perhaps our favorite feature of the new salon? A gorgeous rooftop garden terrace — the perfect place to sip a celebratory glass of champagne once you’ve said yes to your dress.
Hudson’s Bay has also partnered with Maison Birks to create a diamond bridal jewelry boutique on the same floor as the Kleinfeld salon. “We are thrilled to be partnering with Hudson’s Bay to offer our customers a unique, Canadian experience, focused on traceable Canadian diamonds,” said Jean-Christophe Bedos, President and CEO of Birks Group Inc.
The Hudson’s Bay will relocate its registry department to the space, making the 7th floor a spectacular one-stop shopping destination for engaged couples in Canada. You can register for gifts, buy your wedding bands and bridal jewelry, and shop for your dress and fashion accessories all in one (luxurious) place.
We can hardly wait until May!
