Miranda and Jonathan’s vineyard wedding is like nothing we’ve ever seen before. When Miranda met with wedding planner Crystal Adair-Benning of Distinct Occasions, they discussed their mutual love for bold color, elaborate decor and travel. They came up with a concept that would transport guests into a whimsical world by making a dramatic decor statement in a vineyard using a red, pink, black and white color scheme. Crystal assembled a talented team of vendors, including the floral designers at Stemz, to realize their vision.

The ceremony setting was especially spectacular–using bold colors set against the lush green vineyards at Cave Spring winery in Niagara, Ontario. Rows of seating featured juicy red lucite chairs with fuschia cushions from Detailz Chair Couture that glowed in the sunshine. The aisle was decorated with a bright red runner and lined with bird cages filled with large blooms. The couple exchanged their vows in front of a floral arch decorated with wild bright florals in shades of red, pink and orange and placed behind a bed of blooming hostas. The bridesmaids wore black dresses and carried colorful bouquets and the couple’s dogs made a cameo appearance wearing red collars.

The reception was held at Inn on the Twenty, where the tables were layered with black linen, gold tableware, graphic menu cards, striped napkins and candles, and lush blooms and greens. Rather than a sweet table, the couple opted for a dessert tree with a canopy of cherry blossoms, a wedding cake suspended in a bird house and cascading pink ribbons blooming with sweets from Candy by Katie. They also treated guests to a selection of French truffles.
