The Queen’s Reign Over Kate’s Wardrobe Begins
We all knew it was coming, we just secretly hoped it wouldn’t happen so quickly. After Kate Middleton stepped out wearing a blinding diamond necklace for a fundraising event at The National Portrait Gallery in London last night, it seems the Queen’s reign over the Duchess’ wardrobe has officially begun (expect longer hemlines and more jewels).
The glittering necklace was given to Queen Elizabeth II as a wedding gift from Nizam of Hyderabad and came with a matching tiara. While we love Kate’s stunning Jenny Packham gown, our first reaction to her bejeweled neckline was “it’s a bit much.” Then again, she is royalty.
