A Rustic-Inspired Nursery For Baby Jameson
Preparing for a baby requires a lot of work: attending prenatal classes, creating a new budget, reading all of those parenting books…not exactly fun stuff. That’s why many expectant parents embrace decorating the nursery with such enthusiasm. Parents want to create a nursery that is cozy and welcoming for their baby–not to mention one that is comfortable for the parents, who will spend lots of time in there feeding, rocking, and changing their baby. Captured by Lori & Erin Photography, Jameson’s nursery is a perfect mix of modern and rustic. Here’s why we love Jameson’s nursery.
1. Mixed patterns. Stripes, chevrons, and plaids are scattered throughout the nursery to add texture and coziness, and balance out the room’s rustic elements.
2. Reclaimed barn wood sign. Janel and Kevin found out they were having a boy at the end of May and quickly decided on the name Jameson. When Janel found the reclaimed barn sign on Etsy, she knew it would be perfect to hang above her son’s crib–it was also a perfect surprise Father’s Day gift for the father-to-be!
3. Wall ruler. This oversized ruler doubles as wall decor and an adorable way to track your baby’s growth.
4. Modern color scheme. We like that this nursery has pops of navy blue–a traditional color for a boy’s nursery–but that the predominant color is a subtle grey. The green accents add a fun, modern twist.
