This gorgeous autumn wedding at the Red Lion Inn in Cohasset, Massachusetts proves that rustic and chic can go hand-in-hand. We love all the organic materials in the decor: wooden signage and birch logs, burlap and jute, even antlers!

John and Lyssa knew that a fall wedding would suit them perfectly: she loves New England foliage, and he is a hunter. As an event planner by trade, Lyssa knew a thing or two about pulling off a festive party. “I especially loved our birch log place card holders and our happily ever after sign,” she says, “both of which we made ourselves. I tied twine around all the mason jars for the cocktail hour centerpieces and ceremony flowers, and also around the candle holders on the stairs. We also hired an ice cream cart for late night snacks, which everyone loved!” Kristin Griffin Photography was there to shoot these beautiful images.

Lyssa has a piece of advice for brides: “Try to do everything gradually over the entire planning process, so you aren’t in a crunch in the last few weeks. That’s the time when you want to just sit back and relax!”
